The Belly Serum I Used Throughout My First Pregnancy
When I found out I was pregnant, I quickly realized there was an entire world of products marketed specifically toward expecting moms. Some felt unnecessary, but one category I was genuinely interested in was pregnancy belly oils and serums. As my belly grew, I wanted something that would help keep my skin comfortable, hydrated, and hopefully a little less itchy along the way.
Like many expecting moms, stretch marks were also on my mind. While I knew no product could guarantee whether I would get them or not, I wanted to keep my skin as healthy and moisturized as possible throughout pregnancy.
After initially using pure maracuja oil, I decided to try Evereden Golden Belly Serum. It checked a lot of the boxes that were important to me: pregnancy-focused, made with a blend of plant-based ingredients, and specifically marketed as being both pregnancy and breastfeeding safe.
I ended up using it throughout the majority of my first pregnancy and genuinely enjoyed having it as part of my daily routine.
What Drew Me to This Pregnancy Belly Oil
One thing I appreciated about Evereden Golden Belly Serum was its ingredient profile. It contains a blend of oils and extracts including marula oil, rosehip oil, centella asiatica, and passionfruit seed oil.
That last ingredient caught my attention because passionfruit seed oil is also known as maracuja oil, which I had already been using on its own before discovering this serum. It felt nice knowing one of the ingredients I already loved was included in the formula.
Another thing that appealed to me was that Evereden states that the serum is both pregnancy and breastfeeding safe. As a first-time mom, that mattered to me.
I had received a few generic lotions and creams as gifts during pregnancy, and after looking through some of the ingredient lists, there were a few products I personally wasn't comfortable using. Everyone has a different comfort level when it comes to skincare during pregnancy, but I appreciated finding a product specifically designed for pregnancy and breastfeeding that aligned more closely with my own preferences.

My Experience Using It
As my pregnancy progressed and my belly continued to grow, keeping my skin moisturized became more important.
The biggest benefit I personally noticed was comfort.
Like many pregnant women, I experienced periods of itching as my skin stretched. This pregnancy belly oil helped my skin feel softer, more hydrated, and less irritated throughout the day.
I looked forward to using it because it felt like a small act of self-care during a season when my body was changing so quickly.
Stretch Marks and My Personal Results
Let's talk about the question most moms-to-be are probably searching for.
Evereden states that this pregnancy belly oil helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Since I didn't develop any stretch marks during my pregnancy, I can't personally speak to that specific claim.
What I can share is my own experience.
This was my first pregnancy. I became pregnant at 32 and turned 33 while pregnant. I used Evereden Golden Belly Serum consistently throughout my pregnancy and did not develop any stretch marks.
Whether that was due to genetics, luck, skincare, or some combination of factors, I honestly don't know.
What I do know is that my skin stayed moisturized, comfortable, and significantly less itchy as my belly grew, and that alone made the product feel worthwhile to me.
Let's Talk About the Scent
One thing that surprised me was the scent.
I don't generally mind fragrance in skincare products, but I tend to be picky about strong floral scents. During pregnancy especially, certain fragrances can quickly become overwhelming.
This serum definitely has a noticeable floral scent. Normally that might have been a downside for me, but there was also a sweetness to it that made it much more pleasant than I expected.
While I wouldn't describe it as subtle, I ended up enjoying it and actually looked forward to using it. If you're sensitive to floral fragrances, it's something worth being aware of, but for me the sweeter notes balanced it out nicely.
Is It Too Oily?
One complaint I've seen in some reviews is that this pregnancy belly oil feels oily or takes a while to absorb.
Personally, I didn't find that to be an issue.
To be honest, when I buy something labeled as an oil or a serum, I expect it to feel a little oily. That's generally what these types of products are designed to do.
I found that it absorbed well, but like most oil-based products, it simply needed some time.
Most nights I applied this pregnancy belly oil before bed so only my pajamas came into contact with it. On weekends, when I wasn't working, I would sometimes apply it in the morning and simply give it extra time to absorb before getting dressed.
I never experienced any staining on my clothing, pajamas, or bedding.
Would I Use It Again?
Absolutely.
While I can't personally speak to whether it reduces the appearance of stretch marks, I can say that it helped keep my skin comfortable throughout pregnancy and became a product I genuinely enjoyed using every day.
I appreciated the thoughtfully chosen ingredients, liked that it included some of the same oils I was already using, and found it easy to work into my routine.
Looking back on my first pregnancy, it's one of those products I'm glad I purchased and would happily use again if I were expecting another baby.
Final Thoughts
If you're looking for a pregnancy belly oil that focuses on hydration, comfort, and nourishing ingredients rather than unrealistic promises, Evereden Golden Belly Serum was a great fit for me.
Every pregnancy is different, and every body responds differently. But as a first-time mom looking for a simple way to care for my growing belly, soothe pregnancy-related itching, and keep my skin feeling moisturized, this was a product I genuinely enjoyed from beginning to end.
